Sites For Boredom
Well I took some random quizzes. Isn't that weird? I ever thought about that. But it's a cool idea for a website.
Speaking of cool websites, here's an AWESOME one. You draw a house and they assess your personality based on it. www.drawahouse.com Go there! It's pretty awesome. If you make a street post a link in the comments and tell us all your house's name.
Short post... but bye!
Gah. Why bother even telling you to comment. No one reads this blog. Not even Kat, Kelsey, and probably not even Edda.

Finals
I'm so excited for People to People!
LAMINGTONS!! They're finished. And delicious. Really really delicious. I made a video and took pictures, so I'll make a special post about it soon.
As soon as it gets nicer out, I'll start taking pictures. There isn't anything cool to take pictures of right now.
Today I have off since I don't have to make up finals... so I'm bored. And tomorrow I have to go to my grandmom's house for her birthday. My aunt and sister will be there, but none of my cousins will so I will be bored all weekend. I have no life.
In New Zealand, I'm staying with a local family. We could be staying on a farm, in the suburbs, in the city, wherever. I really wanted to stay in the city, but now I kind of want to stay on a sheep farm. One of my friend's family used to live on their grandparent's sheep farm. I really liked it even though I had to watch where I steped :-). Also I want to be able to take pictures for my friend's grandparents. That should be cool!
I'm going to go eat stuff.

Back to the Usual
As you can tell, the blog is back to normal. I felt like I was cheating on KaPow by changing the name and url. But I'm keeping the background. It's pretty! Plus it was like I was copying off Kat when I changed it. So back to normal.
I can't wait for lamingtons! I have all the ingredients. I'll post pictures when I'm done.
Guess who's doing the plane this year? My bio teacher's son! I think he will do an awesome job, he was actually listening to my speech about "Blah blah blah, glue, blah blah rubber bands, blah blah blah FAILURE IS EMINENT!" while his partner was just looking around. But they haven't started yet. And Holly and I were working on it all through winter break. I don't know what they're going to do.
I went back and read some Oswald Says...(.) It was actually quite awesome, and I was shocked that there was only 6 posts, when this is the 21st post. And Oswald Says... only lasted two months.
OH! FROG DISSECTION! It was awesome. It wasn't that bad, but there was so much preservative it was gushing. I was having trouble with the breastbone, and so I accidentally flicked frog guts in these guys' hair. Whoops. But it was cool. I'll post a picture of Mr.Froggy eventually.
Did I mention finals yet? I think I did. AHH!
I tried to get a cool hit counter like Edda's, but alas, you need to create an account.
Oh I found my favorite face wash in my hall closet. It smells like grapefruit. Mmm. Too much information? Yeah...
Today I had a math test, and it was printed on graph paper. I felt the need to write one letter/number per square. And oh yes I did. I'm expecting a comment when I get it back. I really need to start that study guide that I should be almost finished by now... o_o
That's it for now?? I'll probably remember something and post again in like ten minutes. Well then so long!

Lamingtons... Mmm!
Quick post... So I watch this YouTube channel called communitychannel, and it's this Australian girl randomly ranting. She keeps ranting about making lamingtons, and never has. I have to make Aussie food eventually for P2P, and lamingtons look DELICIOUS! They're these little sponge cakes with chocolate icing and coconut... Mmmm...
I have to go bake,

New Name?
I'm considering a new name for this blog. The posting will be the same, the old poss will stay, the layout will be the same, but the url will change. By the time you read this, the name might be different.
Finals. I knew they were coming. I am going to be ready for the Bio final, but I haven't started reviewing for math. We even have gym finals! And today I found out I actually have to study for my Photography final.
I dissected a frog today! It really wasn't that gross, except when the guys I gave the frog to at the end decided to pull off the head. But it was okay. I didn't even care about cutting it, but I couldn't bear to break the arms. My partner was a vegetarian, and she helped and didn't even mind. It was so cool. I popped out an eye right as she said we didn't have to anymore.
I think I have decided what the name will be, and the background might change. But I assure you, the posts will stay!

Oh, you should comment.

The Adventures of Headbang Kid: Part One
I shall introduce you to headbang kid. There is this odd kid on my bus who does weird stuff. So here's what happened.
Headbang Kid was on the bus. He looked like he was brushing his teeth. I thought, "WHAT?" but I didn't want to look because the bus is very quiet, and people know when you stare at people. So I glanced over... he's trying to eat a lollipop really fast on the short bus ride. This wasn't the only weird thing.
A few days later, I am sitting on the bus, jamming to my iPod, and I see Headbang Kid looking around shady-ily. So I decide to see what he is going to do. After deciding that no one was watching him, he starts headbanging and fake scream-o-ing. WHAT? Okay this kid is weird.
Also, I was sitting on the bus, and Headbang Kid was doing something again. He pulled out a full breakfast sandwich and started going to town.
I'm still unsure who this kid is, but he hasn't done anything but eat a few lollipops since...

Dr. Alien Contest
HI! I made this little dude I call Dr. Alien. So copy and paste him in paint and dress him up, the best one wins! You can use the stuff I supplied or create your own.
I will soon be starting a little reoccurring posting called The Adventures of Headbang Kid. You'll see, you'll see.

Haven't Posted! Here's my life...
So hi!
People to People: Haven't had a meeting yet... so that's it.
Science Olympiad: I made A team! Woo! My events are Disease Detectives, Solar System, Experimental Design, and Write It Do It. Woo Updates!
So nothing interesting has been happening. I can't post by e-mail. That's annoying.
Oh I just thought of something coolish! I'm taking a photography class called Black & White Photography. Quite obviously, we use black and white film. My teacher actually likes me (shocker! haha not really). I'm doing okay. I'll upload some pics soon. I really like it, and all the other students don't care. At all. They just complain, and I have to join in so I can fit in. I'm also pretty much teaching the class. The other kids always ask me to help them or I feel bad and end up helping them. So I guess it's my fault.
I'm also taking a class called Drawing & Design. I absolutely LOVED the first project. We did a quote in calligraphy and illustrated it. I chose "What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet." and I painted some roses around it. It was cool, especially because I love calligraphy, painting, and Shakespeare. So then we did a shield. Mine had a tree for a headpiece. The teacher liked it! But she'll never like me as much as she likes my sister. But that's okay.
Do highschoolers get upset when you call them kids? I know I don't. I guess my unnatural obsession with Fall Out Boy has me calling everyone a kid. I dunno.
Report cards! I got A's in everything but my honors classes. I got A-'s in Honors Bio and Honors Math. I think that still counts as distinguished honor roll, and that and my GPA are all that matter to me.
We have to do a powerpoint project on the career we are aiming towards. I don't know though! I need to decide soon. I like law, but I could never be a lawyer. Or maybe I could... I dunno.
That's it for now.
But I'm thinking of creating a new blog, one that I post to in addition to this called "History of Life in a Boring Town". I would want people to know what it's like to be growing up in a boring town, trying to keep up grades, friends, family, college, etc. Comment to tell me what you think. Positive, negative, whatever. I just like comments.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
Alison :)

Comics
I've read the comic Buttersafe for about a year or two. It's awesome! I saw a comic advertisement on the page. It's called Mountain Time. It's chaotic, but cool!
Anyway, I have an update on People to People. I went to the interview. It's still not positive that I'm in, but I think I did okay. I should know today or tomorrow if I'm going.
And SCIENCE OLYMPIAD! I have all the stuff for my first event, Experimental Design. I still need to do a practice event, but other than that, yeah.
I joined Invisible Children at my school. Hasn't started yet.
So go read Mountain Time if you want. I'll write more when I know if I'm going on People to People.

CRIKEY!
SO!
People to People sent me a letter........... like always. And by a complicated turn of events, I'm finally going. It's Australia, New Zeland, and Figi.
I can't wait to stay with a local family in Australia! I get to go to school and stay with them for 3 days and 2 nights. PSYCHED. I might even stay on a farm. I get to meet Australian aboriginals and stay with them, hold a koala, and luge down an extinct volcano.
And when I go to Figi, we get to play Survivor. AWESOME.
I don't even know if I fo-sho get to go. At least until the day after my interview. But I'm not worried. I think I can get them to like me.
OUR SCHOOL GAVE US LAPTOPS!
I'm on it now. We get it all four years. They're tiny and light. Awesome.
That's it.
I'll post other stuff eventually,
Alison

Don't Be Annoyed!
I didn't mean to totally advertise for free rice like, five minutes ago. I just wanted you to end world hungry. So don't be mad. Or annoyed. Or whatever. You don't HAVE to go. In fact, if you don't want to, then don't! I'm fine with that. Okay. I just didn't want you to take that last post the wrong way. I'm not even going to post a free rice button. But there's one in the last post. I'm not giving you the website because I'm trying not to advertise. I'm not getting money for it. That's all. Muchas Gracias for reading.
<3.
Just for you. =D
*facepalm*
You can end world hungry if you want. (See above. Like Second Line.)
*facepalms several times*
P.S. Comment on this if you were annoyed. I'll delete this and edit the free rice stuff out of the last post. I hate it when people advertise too much. =0

Free Rice (Rocks)
So have y'all heard of free rice??
It's this game where you answer vocab questions (or math or languages like Spanish if you choose to. Every question you answer right donates 10 grains of rice to the hungry all over the world.
You're probably thinking, "Oh 10 grains of rice. Big deal. That'll improve things." But remember, thousands (if not millions) of people are playing at once. The rice accumulates pretty fast.
So go there if you're bored. It's better than chatting with your friends on facebook or some other dumb website. *insert sarcasm* I'm sure myspace chats feed the hungry. *end sarcasm*
OOOOOOOOOOOOO! I just remembered!!!!! I found out (alright I'm dumb but did you HAVE to throw rocks? Really? Oh, well, then, okay.) that Elvis Costello, the one who wrote/sang Allison, the song I was named after (after dropping one L), guest stars in What a Catch, Donnie by Fall Out Boy. *Obsesion*. But anyway, Gabe Saporta or whatever and Bredon Urie and William Beckett or whatever and some guy from The Cab and some other peoples are in it too. But they aren't Elvis Costella. And I wasn't named after one of their songs. But I don't think I would want to be named Guilty Pleasure or Mad As Rabbits or *insert song that has something to do with William Beckett and/or The Cab here*. Yeah.
I like the video too. Patrick has a little seagull friend and I think they kill off Pete. Again. YAAAY!
I don't think I forgot to nag you about Free Rice. I didn't. You should be ashamed of yourself for finishing reading this! Tsk tsk. So do that now! NOW! Oh wait, comment first. And listen to GINASFS by Fall Out Boy while you're playing.
Go save the world!
I'ma gonna post a banner.
Are you still reading????? I hope you commented. Oh and people are hungry. Go play Free Rice. I gotta go do that now. But only because I can't think of a comment. Except this.
"Be gone, before somebody drops a house on you, too!"~Glinda, the Good Witch (Unless you saw Wicked. Then the Stupid Witch Who Can't Give Directions)
Which, for some unknown reason, makes me want to start a contest. So what movie is this quote from?? (Come on. You know this. I know this and I'm me.) Put your answer in the comments. Bonus points if you know who said it. Bonus Bonus points for his/her name. Bonus Bonus Bonus points if you know what year it came out. I don't know that last one.
"Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn."

Travel-riffic and Warped Tour
So I have been thinking about travel. I've always wanted to go to Italy, Japan, Australia, and England. But after really thinking, I've added some places. But now it's not just going places for the sights or because they sound cool. I want to learn about new cultures too. Recently I've considered China, Greece, and South Africa. There's a program that's aimed at a spreading peace by understanding foreign cultures. I've wanted to do this since 6th grade, but the cost of the program is, on average, $6,000. So there's no chance. But anyway, their website has made me want to experience cultures I hadn't considered.
China: The program lets you help kids learn English. How cool is that? I really want to learn about how they live, now and in the past.
Greece: All I really know about it is mythology. I want to learn about the past and what it's like now.
South Africa: There was a movie on Disney Channel called The Color Of Friendship. It showed what was going on with apartheid and how it eventually ended. I was shocked that people were still being considered less important then others. There is a South Africa trip, and I really wish I could go!!!
Also, WARPED TOUR!!!!
We saw Ivy League, NOFX, AntiFlag, and Less Than Jake.
Ivy League was pretty cool.
NOFX had an insane mosh pit. My feet didn't touch the ground sometimes and I was covered in sweat that wasn't mine. =-) But it was AWESOME!
AntiFlag was short. A.K.A. We went late. But they threw guitar picks off the stage and one hit me in the face!!!
Less Than Jake was absolutely and totally INSANELY AWESOME!!! We were all the way in the very front against the gate. I made direct eye contact with Buddy and the lead singer. Then, when a crowd surfer went overhead, my sister hit her nose on the gate!!! She was bleeding everywhere and she bled all over the security guard. She's fine now, and she didn't even brake her nose like she thought she did. Then we waited in line forever and got to meet them. They signed my ticket and Buddy told me to eat a bunch of boxes of mini doughnuts. It was so awesome.
A few weeks ago I saw Public Enemies. It was AWESOME! It was really historically accurate, down to the tiniest detail. The only historical flaw was the number of bullets fired when John Dillinger was killed. They only had one, and it was five. But other than that, it was amazing. I loved it, and you should go see it.
I had to take the trolley the other day to go to Panera's with Science Olympiad. By myself. But it was fine. There was no seats, so I had to stand in the back. Then this couple in front of me kept pulling the bell. So the driver yelled, "STOP RINGING THE DAMN BELL!" Then a seat freed up. I rang the bell for the wrong stop but eventually I got off at the right one.
Panera's was fun. Then I went back to Marie's house with Marie and Bryan to watch Juno. It was an all around awesome day.
So that's my life.
<3,
Alison

IMPORTANT!
Kay, so here's the most important thing EVER! My birthday is in 7 days! I'm not having a party for the first time ever. But I'm probably going to Dorney Park sort of for my birthday, and sort of just because I can.
So I have a new favorite website ever. It's thinkgeek.com. It's an awesome website that sells everything you need to be a geek. It's awesome! So go there.
Greaseband is Thursday. It's these people that sing old songs, like the ones from Grease. It's a lot of fun, and hey, any place that has coffee is pretty cool.
I'll be sure to post on my birthday. I'm starving. So I'm gonna eat. Hmm... poptarts or reeses puffs? Too many choices!
P.S. Edda you rock!
